Year 6 children and parents, I really appreciate them all. I would just like to say that I hope all the Year 6
children who got very tearful on Friday, you all know who you are, are all feeling ok now. I will miss you all

I could write pages and pages about how I have really enjoyed teaching you all in Year 5 and then in Year 6 -
I am so so glad that I got to move into Year 6 with you. These past two years for me have been absolutely
fantastic and that's because of all of you! I have really enjoyed all the hard work that we have done,
the superb trips we have been on and all the fun and laughter we have shared over the past two years.
You have given me so many good memories to keep and treasure - the farm trip, the Joseph show
but most of all having the pleasure of being your teacher and spending countless days with you all -
I have really enjoyed it!
I send you all good wishes for high school and for the future.

Hello to all past and present pupils,
Great to read your comments on this splendid website. Yes, I am sad to be leaving Elm Wood on
Friday 18th July and I really hope to stay in touch with my Elm Wood family. I started here in 1967 as a
student teacher and worked here again in 1970-72 returning in 1992. I love the children and the
parents and the staff here and I can remember some good tales! Best of all perhaps are the shows.
While Jonah and Bugsy were each fantastic I have to say that
JOSEPH was my most favourite and it meant so much to me last week. Very well done Year 6 and
Miss Robinson, Kate and Mr Vyse and everyone else associated with it.
Good luck for the future to all Y6 leavers.

Dear Year 6
Just a short note to wish you all the very best as you leave Elm Wood.
It's been a great pleasure and a privilege to be part of your lives for the past 7 years
and I’m sorry I can’t be with this week as you go on to pastures new.
It’s lovely to see you all grown up and confident, you have grown in to such wonderful talanted people.
Over the years I have had so much fun with
some of little things you have done and some of the things you have said, you have
made me laugh so much, especially when we were at the farm.
I will never forget the way the girls have come into the computer suite every Friday afternoon with their lovely
greeting and will miss that loads. I will also miss some of the boy’s cheeky smiles over the top of their
monitors (Aiden, P.J, Scott, Joel and Ben) that means you.
As for your summer show Joseph what can I say some of your performances
were outstanding Kane, Joe, Adam Gray, Jake, Brittany, P.J. , Rebecca Mills, Beth, Alex Shaw and Oliver.
I’m sure we will see some of you on our TV screens in years to come.
It was so nice to see the summer show back at Elm Wood and what a fantastic group of children to
bring it back!
Have a great time in your last week of school and take with you all the wonderful memories and the
things you have learnt whilst at Elm Wood.
Be happy in every thing you do, work hard but have lots fo fun. Keep in touch with us as you go into this next
chapter of your lives so we can celebrate with you your achievements.

Wow, i've just finished high school and looking back on this website really gives me some great memories of Elm Wood! I remember Mr Torr, Mr Percival, Mrs Iverson, Mrs Emsley (My Favourite!) and Mrs Chesters! I remember being in the year 6 summer show being 'Duffy The Vampire Slayer'. I had some great times at Elm Wood, i miss it!

To all the children that left Elm Wood in July I wish you lots of luck as you go on to the next chapter in your school life. It has been a great pleasure to watch you all grow from the tiny children in reception to the bright young children in Year 6.
I have great memories from when we went to the farm, mucking out those smelly cows, to Holland and the many more residential trips that I have been on with you over the years. Also the lots of different things you got up to in school that have made me laugh and the wonderful assemblies you did, who could forget The Festival of Light.
I wish you all the very best in everything you do. Take with you all the wonderful memories and the things you have learnt whilst at Elm Wood.
